Join Friends of Huxley from 9:00 AM to Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022* for our third #DayOfAction event: Heart of Iowa Nature Trail clean-up.

In a partnership with Story County Conservation, Friends of Huxley adopted the trail section from Slater to Huxley in 2021.

Volunteers will meet to register and pick up supplies at Railroad Park in Huxley at 9:00 AM. From there, we will break out into teams and walk or drive to sections of the trail to pick up litter and debris.

All ages are welcome—sections of the trail will be selected for groups with children to ensure their safety. Wear weather-appropriate clothes and be ready to make a positive impact with other Friends!

Can’t make it but still want to help? Donate to our general fund which helps us purchase supplies and round out projects.
